We have just come to the end of our fourth year of We Fest Clean-up fund raiser for the Friends of Tamarac. Thirty-nine volunteers came forward to pitch in and get it done. There were 24 volunteers on Sunday and 26 volunteers on Monday. We completed clean-up of 4 campgrounds and the bowl area. Why do we take this on? There is no way around, it is hard work. It’s not for the faint at heart. We take it on because we believe in supporting the missions of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge particularly in terms of protecting the environment and connecting all ages with nature.
