The Quilts of Tamarac

Raffle-Quilt-2015The Birds of Tamarac quilt was the first – five years ago – that launched a fundraising phenomenon that shows no sign of waning. And for good reason.

Sewn by skilled volunteers, the quilts on average have netted $900 to $1,000 for the Friends of Tamarac in Minnesota, which runs an annual raffle that sells more than 1,300 tickets.  And it doesn’t take much selling to reach the 1,300 mark.
