TIA Blogs

If you are a TIA member or a volunteer we invite you to consider your own Tamarac Nature blog on this website. We would like a variety of different subject matter or types of material. Tamarac nature blogs should be material that is about Tamarac or would be of interest to other Tamarac entusiasts. A second requirement is that over the year you submit material on average once a month. More over the summer and less over the winter is fine. If you are interested contact the webmaster at tamaracweb@yahoo.com

We will be eventually incorporating blogging technology so that you can automatically and directly add to your blog. We are evaluating these four options:

Blogs:
b2evolution (0.9.0.12) (website)
Nucleus (3.22) (website)
pMachine Free (2.3) (website)
WordPress (1.5.2) (website)

Blog Defined

Noun S: (n) web log, blog (a shared on-line journal where people can post diary entries about their personal experiences and hobbies) "postings on a blog are usually in chronological order"

Verb S: (v) blog (read, write, or edit a shared on-line journal)

Blog (or weblog) (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) is a website in which items are posted and displayed with the newest at the top. Like other media, blogs often focus on a particular subject, such as food, politics, or local news. Some blogs function as online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. Since its appearance in 1995, blogging has emerged as a popular means of communication, affecting public opinion and mass media around the world.
