General Information About Guided Refuge Tours

Guided tours are generally two hours long beginning and ending at the visitor center. Participants travel as a car caravan with stops at places of interest - so very little walking is required. The route and topics of each tour depends upon the particular tour leader. Tours may cover information about birds, vegetation, native american culture, and refuge history. Guided tours take place in whatever weather conditions as long as people are willing, but dressing for the weather is recommended.
