About the event

Wild Wednesdays include dynamic activities about wildlife, stories, hikes, and a craft. Held each Wednesday morning at 10:00am June 12-Aug 28.

This special morning is geared for 3-7 year-olds (siblings welcome). There is a limit of 30 students per week. Each week is a different topic. We partner with parents, daycare providers, an adult and/or grandparents as we guide children to learn more about our nature topic, listen to a story, take a themed hike and make a craft. It's a very exciting morning. Sometimes there is a game, a song, or a dance. Two of our Wednesdays are puppet shows. We have a team of amazing volunteer teachers and helpers! Most activities will take place outdoors. Wear clothes you can get dirty, dress for the weather. For more information, contact the Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge staff at 218-847-2641. Bring your young naturalists and make fun discoveries about nature at Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. This is a free event and all are welcome. Wild Wednesdays are popular and do fill up.

Please arrive 15 minutes before the event starts. If you find you can not attend, please cancel your spot or call the refuge as soon as you can so another young child can enjoy the day.
