| Auto Tour Stop #3: Forest Openings The field to your right (pictured) was cleared by pre-refuge settlers. Maintained now as grassland it is an excellent place to look for the monarach and other butterflies, especially in June, July, and August. Take a walk through this area and see how many species you can identify! |
