Celebrating Our Supporters

As I've begun my first year as Friends of Tamarac president, there are some people I would like to acknowledge. First of all, I am extremely thankful for the officers and board that I have to work with. They have proven to be very supportive, offering their advice and guidance to make my year successful.Â
I am also thankful for you, our members. You are the most important part of this organization. Without you giving of your time and talents when called upon, we couldn't accomplish all the things we do to support Tamarac. That support is even more important now with the challenging times they are going through with reduced funding and staff. There are innumerable volunteer opportunities at Tamarac to keep it a place where visitors love to come and keep the inhabitants safe and protected.
I also need to thank the Refuge staff for their continued cooperation in working with the Friends organization. We have developed a mutual understanding of what it takes to have a successful partnership for the betterment of Tamarac.
Last but not least, I would like to thank our two staff members Amanda Hendrickson, Executive Director and Marnie Larsen, Environmental Education Coordinator. These two ladies continue to prove time and again how valuable and capable they are in the rolls they serve. They go above and beyond to make my job so much easier.
I am looking forward to serving as the president of this great organization. We have accomplished many amazing things in the past and hope to achieve many more in the future. With your continued support, the possibilities are endless.Â
