Come on out and see how things get done at Tamarac!
We have multiple events in the next few weeks and would love to have you join us. Whatever skills you have, Friends of Tamarac and the refuge has a need you could be a perfect match for!

JUNE:
Wild Wednesday Volunteer Training –Wednesday, June 4th 10:00 am – 1:00 pm. Please RSVP to Val rallands@aol.com or text Kelly at 218-850-4886.
Wild Wednesdays will once again start at 10:00 am on Wednesdays – June 10 – Aug 20. Space is limited. Participants need to register at www.tamaracfriends.org
National Trails Day Hike – Saturday, June 7th, 12:30 pm with the North Country Trail volunteers. Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot. We will carpool over to Blackbird Drive and hike east towards 400th Ave. This is an in and out hike so participants can hike as far as they would like and then return to their cars. One to nine miles are possible. This area features a dam over the Otter Tail River, mixed pine and deciduous forest and views of Chippewa and Johnson Lakes.
As a reminder, the Visitor Center does have reduced hours this year, but we’ve tried to capitalize on the times that we’ve been the busiest in previous years. Hours: Thursday-Saturday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm & Sundays 12:00 – 4:00 pm. Stay tuned with events on the USFWS Tamarac Refuge Facebook page @tamaracnwr and the friends web page: www.tamaracfriends.org
