Saturday Sept 26 -Celebrate National Public Lands Day. Save the Seedlings! 8:30-11:30 and 1:00- 4:00 pm. Over 15,000 pine trees have been planted on the refuge to restore acres of red, white and jack pine habitat. By bud-capping the trees,we can protect them from deer browse. Wear long pants, sturdy shoes and bring water for a morning or afternoon in the field making a difference for wildlife. Or bring lunch and stay for the day!
