This year’s quilt was made by Janet Bridgers. It was a flannel quilt called “Aspen Dreams. “. At the drawing on October 16th, Janet announced that the material came from a New Mexico quilt shop, thus the picture of wolves, elk and black bear with a backdrop of the Rockies with soaring eagles.
The winner was Deanna Sinclair who was delighted to receive the quilt as she had just returned from a trip to participate in the Albuquerque International Hot Air Ballon Festival. She crewed with high school acquaintances of mine! So not only did Deanna’s raffle ticket get her a lovely wall hanging, it connected her to the seamstress who sewed it! Congratulations Deanna!
