- Wildlife Movie Sunday June 21 2:00 pm “Disney Nature – Wings of Life Celebrate Pollinator Week!” Narrated by Meryl Streep, this intimate and unprecedented look at butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, bats and flowers is a celebration of life. One-third of the world’s food supply depends on these incredible creature
- Wild Wednesday – Wednesday June 24, 9:15 – 10:00 Explore the world of nature with your child during this hour long adventure geared for 3-7 year olds. Meet at the Discovery Center.
- Wildlife Excursion – Thursday June25, 10:00 AM Visitor Center. Explore the refuge with a knowledgeable guide! Tours will be offered every Thursday June-August. Search for wildlife and learn about the cultural and natural history of Tamarac National Wildlife Refuge. Meet at the Visitor Center.
- Discovery Center Open House – Friday June 26 1:00 pm
- Discovery Center Grand Opening – We invite all members and donors to come and celebrate The Discovery Center Open House on Saturday, June 27, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The dedication will recognize key partners to the completed building. After a short presentation at 10:30 am there will be a ribbon cutting at 11:00 am. Cake and refreshments will be served. Building and trail tours with samples of education programs offered will be conducted throughout the day until 3:00 pm.Thank you again for your support of the Tamarac Discovery Center
