April 12, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. the Washington Square Mall will be busy with Parents and children visiting the many stations that Friends of Tamarac will have set up: they will include:
- Washington Square Mall’ Easter Egg Hunt for kids under 8 years of age.
- Tamarac Refuge: The theme Energy and Wildlife. They will have information on upcoming events, coloring books, and a wooden nickel
- Kid’s Nature Touch Table where everyone can touch the fur, look at the specimen in a microscope and learn about a lot of really neat things
- Discovery Center: Find out how this building project will make the school kids visits even more exciting when they come to visit with their school
- Membership: Did you know that when you become a member of the Friends of Tamarac, you are making the trips for the school kids possible, that you will receive a beautiful Newsletter quarterly and event information and of course an opportunity to volunteer in our beautiful National Refuge. Sign the 75 REASONS Banner and get a DQ.
- The Newly Opened Gift Shop will have books, and nature items, clothing and other neat things to buy.
- Kid’s Bird Art Project: Have great fun doing a Bird and Egg project. See the egg display, and be creative.
- A Puppet Show: 11:00 and 12:00 with Connie and friends. The theme Spring – Monarchs and Hummingbirds Return to Tamarac.
