Visitor Center Hosts
Do you like meeting people and sharing your knowledge of the refuge? Hosting the visitor center is a great way to start volunteering at Tamarac. Shifts are four hours and include weekday mornings and afternoons. We also need weekend afternoon hosts. With winter visitor center hours recently expanded, hosts are needed on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. Duties include assisting visitors, answering the phone, showing the movie, light housekeeping, and retail sales in the Friends’ gift shop.
Wild Wednesdays – Help Needed
Enhance a young child’s visit to the refuge through a one hour hands-on nature exploration activity during the summer season.
