Bison on Tamarac Refuge? An adjacent landowner to Tamarac Refuge has had a breakout of captive bison. Approximately 20 bison have roamed onto the refuge. Every effort is being made to round up the animals, however the forested landscape ismaking it difficult. If you see any bison on the refuge, please report it to Tamarac staff right away by calling 218-847-2641. It is possible you may encounter one of these animals while recreating on the refuge. Take extra caution as their behavior is unpredictable.
